4/3 Gorkha Rifles Martyr's Garden

This is the battalion that Nawang belonged to. A Battalion is the smallest independent fighting unit in the army. We have visited their Martyr's garden in Almora

During our visit to Almora in February, 2000 There was a special memorial service held to remember those who had fallen during the battles fought during Operation Rakshak, and Operation Vijay (Kargil)
